The hotel staff is pleasant. Convenient location next to a shopping center. Close to the US Embassy. Courteous front desk and housekeeping. Good communication in English. Access to shops, food outlets, and amenities. Short walk to Kok Tobe and money changer. Only 20-30 minutes to the airport.
Nothing that I didn't like.

The staff showed willingness to help. The hotel paid the trasport by taxi from the airport and arranged safe taxi transport to the airport.
Hotel charged me more than declared in the voucher - the rate in the voucher was kzt 25.000 for double room / 2 persons / night, but they charged kzt 29.000, saying that the original rate was for 1 person. Be careful, when the hotel orders taxi for you to the airport (you should pay max kzt 3.000 as hotel guarantees, but the driver will ask you kzt 5.000 when you are at the airport - it is better to ask hotel staff to confirm the rate directly with the driver before you get in the taxi cab). The facilities in the room (water pipe, electric plugs) were not fixed very good and seemd dangerous to touch them.

The location is not that bad though not really in the center but taking a taxi is not expensive. Internet connection is fast and free. The reception guys are helpful and polite.
No window in the room!!! Feels like being injailed... The dirtiest room I've ever stayed in. Pillowcase was holed and spotted. Breakfast was poor, with instant coffee and nothing eadable except for some bread.

We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room at Grand Hotel Eurasia. The modern and comfortable furnishings added a nice touch. The location was convenient for exploring the city and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Despite a few minor issues, overall I would recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.

Calm quiet place, not far from city centre (20-30 min by feet). Reasonable price for econom room near city centre. Number of services for free (laundry, safe). Clean room, no problems with cleaning. Staff on reception are friendly.
Very poor breakfast, haven't been satisfied at all!! The same "continental" breakfast every day I stay there, completely tastefulness and you'll never get a real coffee, only instant! Economy rooms with no window! Standard rooms with windows are too expensive for Almaty and this area. Furniture and rooms are far from excellent conditions, but ok.

location is relatively good
no windows in the room, leaking air conditioner. I arrived at 5-30am (night arrival) and was going to check-out at 8-30am. Asked if this would cost me as half-day, but the answer was that I will be charged for a full day. Very low "value for money".

WiFi was very good for Almaty conditions. The room was clean but had no window at all
Unfortunatly we had no warm water for more than three days. The staff speaks almost no english. There was no breakfast-buffet! The breakfast room was very loud with MTV music and we just got tea or coffee an a plate with a very little selection of discusting cheese and sausage. One peace of dry bread of course. This is def. no Hotel to relax or enjoy. It's quite cheap and if you're just looking for a safe and well located place to sleep that's allright.

The view from the room was amazing, and the bed was comfortable. The pool area was well-maintained and provided a relaxing escape from the city. The hotel is located near several restaurants, making it easy to find a place to eat.
Our romantic escape was ruined by noisy neighbors who partied until the early hours of the morning. The walls were thin and we could hear every sound from the room next door.

The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the city, being in the heart of the city center. the area had a nice mixture of restaurants, shops, and local attractions that made my city trip a delight. the staff was friendly and approachable, always greeting me with a smile and eager to offer any help or information. I also appreciated the good internet connection in the room and common areas that helped me stay connected with friends and family.
On the negative side, the hotel could use some renovations as a few items in the room were a bit outdated and in need of fixing. the room could have been cleaner, with a few small details overlooked by the cleaning staff.

Excellent location near major attractions, shopping mall and US Embassy. Convenient hotel facilities including parking and transportation options. Cleanliness of the hotel was impressive and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Plus, great breakfast options at nearby cafes served at a suitable time.
All was good.
